Thanks for visiting the official website for The CHORDS Vocal
Ensemble. We appreciate your interest!
The BIG NEWS about CHORDS is the members have RETIRED the group. The individual members haven't retired from singing and playing, but the ensemble, CHORDS, is no longer scheduling programs. CHORDS had their FINALE CONCERT in November of 2015, and it was a great evening of singing, reminiscing and celebrating their 27-year run of performing together.
CHORDS was a unique ensemble of voices singing traditional, contemporary and gospel music. During their first four years together, CHORDS was very busy singing concerts and special events in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. They sang the "The Star-Spangled Banner" for both the Three Rivers Festival Parade in 1990 and later a Wizards baseball game. As an ensemble, they took a rather long hiatus from 1992 to 2004. After only one four-hour rehearsal in September 2004, they made their comeback debut in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After twelve years it felt as though they had never parted. In other words, it felt great!
Since that special day back in 2004 through 2015, CHORDS sung over 400 concerts, worship services and special programs. In 2006, they recorded their first CD, "Lovin' Life." They recorded a second CD, "In God We Still Trust" in 2007 and released their third CD, "Going Home" in 2011. The members of CHORDS hope you will take a moment to listen to a few excerpts on their MUSIC page.
CHORDS was very fortunate to have, since 2011, Mr. Alexander Klepach as their keyboard accompanist. Alex is immensely talented, and they loved his monumental playing skills as well as his wonderful personality! CHORDS will not be scheduling any more new programs, but ... the final four members of CHORDS will be debuting a brand new vocal and instrumental ensemble during the summer of 2016. Stay-tuned for further information!
All the members of CHORDS wish to thank our families, friends and many fans for their marvelous support for the past 27 years. It was a privilege and an honor to sing in all the churches, assisted livings and community venues who so graciously hosted our music ministry. Our HUGE APPRECIATION to everyone, and please stay-tuned for the next chapter in our life of singing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
